As most of you know, I pulled some muscles on my back trying to show off during a Yoga Photo shoot. Lesson learned, don't let your ego get the best of you. And for the past 2 days I have been absolutely exhausted. My body feels as though I ran a marathon and my eyes felt like they had been open for weeks without any sleep.
What was going on with my body?
If I wasn't teaching yesterday, I was either sleeping or laying down. I moved from a frozen bag of corn on my muscles to a heating pad provided by my friend and fellow Yogi, Megan.
I went to bed last night squealing and crying because of how much pain I was in. And when I woke up this morning, the corn was no longer frozen but as soon as I opened my eyes I could feel a burst of energy throughout my entire body!
My body was trying to repair itself and that is why I was so exhausted! DUH!!
Whether we know if or not, our bodies are always working. And over the past couple of days, my body has been working overtime. So I took the time yesterday to baby it and really listen to what she was saying.
Ego? Bad! Body? Good!
Our bodies are amazing! Take some time to soak in the sun, head to a yoga class or even paint your toes! Your body deserves your love.
